Since my husband works with glass we have lots of scrap. So I thought I would try to use some of it. I have recently completed two mosaics using a pattern I drew several months ago. The pattern was traced onto some plywood, cut out with a jigsaw (this part is a bit tricky. Scroll saw would work much better) then glass bits layed out to create the right design, add mastic, grout, sealer and tada! These are very time consuming but it was a good exercise in patience. I suppose they turned out pretty good. What do you think?

I think these are lovely. The colours you have chosen work so well together and they make a lovely pair. It's always great to try something new!!

These mirrors look sensationell.
What a phantastic job you did on them and on your beautiful painting of the six swans.
It was allways one of my favourite fairy- tales.
Have a great sunday.

Thank you all for the enthusiatic input. I suppose I'll be doing more mosaics. Much smaller though. Have tons of scrap glass to use up. Just wish they didn't take so long.
Hope you all have a marvelous day.
Hugs.
Hi, Sandy, a friend from Squidoo and Facebook (love the fish acquarium game). Had to comment on your seahorses.....they are great. What size are they. Cute and great for bathroom. Excellent idea and good use of scraps.
